AI Visibility Score™ AIS

AI Visibility Score™ (AIS) is a domain-level composite index measuring how extractable, citable, and stable a brand is across AI retrieval systems. AIS ∈ [0, 100]. It is computed from seven weighted components and adjusted by a volatility stability modifier.

Score Bands

AIS divides into five performance bands. Each band corresponds to a measurable level of AI citation readiness.

ScoreBandWhat it means
90–100Dominant AI AuthorityAI systems consistently cite this brand as a primary recommendation in its category.
75–89Strong Citation CandidateFrequently cited. Strong structural foundation with minor authority gaps.
60–74Emerging AuthorityCiteable but inconsistent. Specific intent types underperforming.
40–59Weak Extraction ProfileAI retrieves content but cannot structure it for reliable citation.
0–39AI InvisibleAI systems cannot reliably retrieve, comprehend, or cite this brand.

How AIS Is Calculated

AIS is a weighted composite of seven components, adjusted by a volatility stability modifier derived from historical performance variance and Monte Carlo drift modeling.

PUBLIC FORMULA
AIS_base = 0.18·ECS + 0.20·CPS + 0.15·RDI + 0.15·KSD
         + 0.10·BSI + 0.10·GSS + 0.12·SDS

AIS = AIS_base × (1 − Drift_Risk)

AIS is clamped to [0, 100].
Drift_Risk is derived from volatility modeling and Monte Carlo erosion probability.
Component definitions and weights are public. Internal sub-weighting heuristics are proprietary to 411bz.ai.

Seven Components

Each component measures a distinct dimension of AI visibility readiness. Together they form a complete picture of how AI systems retrieve, understand, and cite a brand.

ECS18%

Entity Coverage

Measures how thoroughly AI systems have modeled the brand as a structured entity. High ECS means AI can describe, relate, and situate the brand correctly.

CPS20%

Citation Probability

The raw probability that an AI query about the brand's category produces a direct brand citation. Highest weight: citation is the core commercial signal.

RDI15%

Retrieval Density

What fraction of AI crawler requests successfully reach and parse the brand's content. Blocked crawlers mean zero retrieval — no data, no citation.

KSD15%

Knowledge Surface Depth

Breadth of citation coverage across all four query intent types: informational, transactional, comparative, and navigational.

BSI10%

Brand Signal Integrity

Commercial and navigational clarity signals — how clearly the brand communicates its offer, availability, and identity to machine readers.

GSS10%

Governance Safety

Structural and operational health score. Derived from anomaly risk levels, execution integrity, and system stability.

SDS12%

Spectral Drift Stability

Consistency of AIS over time. High volatility in citation performance reduces this score, indicating an unstable AI presence.

Predictive AIS Projection

AIS is not just a snapshot. It is projected forward using Monte Carlo simulation under variable competitive pressure scenarios.

p10 (Conservative)
10th percentile path — what happens if conditions worsen
p50 (Median)
Most probable AIS trajectory over 30 days
p90 (Optimistic)
90th percentile path — what happens if conditions improve
MONTE CARLO MODEL (N = 500–5,000 simulations)
For each simulation i:
  ε ~ N(0, 1) [Box-Muller Gaussian]
  AIS_next[i] = AIS × (1 + momentum + ε × σ)

Output: E[AIS], [p10, p90] confidence interval,
        P(erosion), P(acceleration), P(displacement)
Example Projection Output
Current AIS:            73
Projected 30-day median:  81  [p10: 65 → p90: 92]
Erosion Risk:           12%
Acceleration Probability: 47%
Displacement Risk:       9%
